Learning At Home

At Hill Top we understand that learning happens in all sorts of forms and can take place in all sorts of place. Here we offer some links to websites and resources that may be helpful to children to further their learning whilst at home. 

TT Rockstars

TT Rcokstars is a programme used at Hill Top in order to raise the profile of times tables across the academy in an exciting way. Each child at Hill Top has been given a user and login in details so that they can continue to practice their times tables at home. Click the link below to login

Scratch creative computer programming for free.

National Geographic Kids

National Geographic Kids offer a range of activies and quizzes  for children for free.

Crest Awards

Crest awards is government subsidised awards and are a great introduction to problem-solving in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). They offer children the opportunity to learn through hands-on challenges by exploring the world around them. Anyone can run these activities – crest provides lots of advice and tips to help you get the most out of CREST.  For £1 the children will recieve 8 1-hour long challenges and on completion they will recieve a certificate and a badge for completing the project.

Prodigy Game

Prodigy Game is a maths game platform that will track your progress across a wide range of areas in maths. Accounts are free to set up. Please not that this site is based in the USA therefore you need to find the correct grade fro your child (simply add a year to your child's year group and that is the grade they are working at eg. year 1 would be grade 2)

PE

Phonics Play

Hill Top are proud to be a part of the mini police project in Edlington. The mini police project has created some resources for the children to do at home but all children can acces them if they wish at mini police
